Pennsylvania Railroad Test Bulletins
Introduction
This page lists various locomotive test reports that have been produced by different railway companies or organisations to test the effective performance of a particular locomotive design or element. These reports have been used to check the validity of the Open Rails performance. Some locomotives have been configured to achieve the performance outcomes described in the test reports are provided on the test stock page.
NB: Configuration of test stock is a work in progress and some of the locomotives on the test stock page may not be the most recent version available, all units added after Apr 2018 should be configured and tested to a test report.
Reports shown with red text are known to exist (test report written, but not found readily available on INTERNET), but a "public copy" does not currently exist. If anybody is able to provide information on where to obtain a copy for a report not accessible through this page, please let me know through the contact page.
